Description of experience:: On August 10th, me and my two friends
witnessed a
strange object high in the sky at around 10:30 PM. The object was
traveling
from northeast to southwest and would randomly flash very
brightly then fade
out then start to glow very brightly again while increasing speed,
almost if
it were entering and reentering the atmosphere. It looked like a
star but
when it started to glow it had an orange tint to it and expanded.
The object
or UFO, what ever you want to call it would also change direction
simultaniously! This is how I knew it wasn't a satelite.
At about 11:00 PM it disappeared.
The next morning at about 5:45 AM we saw the object again coming
from the
northeast. At this time we were sitting on the beach off of Lake
Superior
waiting for the sun to come up over the horizon. This was August
11th, the
day of the eclipse. While we were laying on the beach the UFO
stopped
somewhere high over the lake and started to zig-zag around, but
it stayed in
the general area of where it stopped. Meanwhile two other objects
came from
the same direction and got into a triangle formation with the
other craft,and
just stayed there for about 30 minutes as if they were waiting
for some big
event to take place(the triangle formation must have been few
miles apart
because they were so high in the sky). I felt as if I was in some
crazy
sci-fi movie or something because I never in my whole life
witnessed
something so bizarre! After the sun came up the three objects
eventually
faded into the morning sky. Now I'm no expert on identifying
aircraft, but I
can tell you that whatever we saw that night was nothing we've
ever seen or
have any knowledge of that exists.

but it was hard to tell because they were so far away.

DESCRIPTION: My name is Kevin ******, and I went on a
camping trip with my friends on August 9th 1999. We originally
wanted to go
to the Porcupine Mountains but ended up in Munising to watch the
eclipse.
Little did we know that from our position on the globe it was'nt
even
possible. We set camp in the Hovey Lake site which is located in
the Hiawatha
National Forest. This was a perfect spot for star gazing because
there is
nothing around and you can see the stars and Milky Way really
clear. On the
night of the 10th at about 10:30 the three of us were looking up
in the night
sky for meteorites, or falling stars and then I saw something
really wierd.
this object traveling West would flash brightly then fade out and
then it
would reappear back on its apparent course. Every time it started
to speed up
it would glow brighter like it was entering and reentering the
atmosphere.
Mind you that this object was difficult to identify because it
was so high in
the sky, almost if it were in outer space. The object came from
the East sky
heading Southwest then would change direction and change
direction again.
This was extremely odd because I witnessed something similiar
back in May
from my porch in Auburn, MI. The Object eventually
disappeared at about 11:00. That's only the half of it. We had
previously
picked out a spot along the Lake Superior shore to watch the
eclipse, and in
the morning at about 4:30 we took off for the beach. We had been
laying on
the beach for about an hour just waiting for the sun, when our
FRIEND(UFO)
reappeared from the East. At this point the sun was just under
the horizon.
The "unidentified flying object" hovered
directly over us high in the sky then it seemed to "play
around". the object
was zig-zagging around and doing crazy loops, as if the pilot
didn't know how
to fly the damn thing. While that particular craft was fooling
around, two
more crafts came out of north and got into a triangle formation
with the
other one. The triangle formation seemed to be huge because they
were so high
up there, I'd say a few miles apart, and it almost seemed as if
they were
waiting for something, wierd. The three objects stayed in that
triangle till
the sun came up, then we couldn't see them anymore. The
whole experience was unreal, after that we didn't even care that
we didn't
get to see
the eclipse. I brought my View Cam along and actually picked up
one of the
objects
on video, although I didn't even know I got it because it didn't
show up on
the 3"
screen. Not until later did I realize this when I put the tape in
the VCR. I
would be
very interested if someone out there saw something similiar on
that morning
of August 11th, 1999.

Description of experience:: Four of us were standing on the beach
at Pedasi,
Panama waiting for our boatman to bring the boat to the beach for
a fishing
trip. We observed a light in the sky due east about 5-10 degrees
above the
horizon. It looke loke a spotlight insky. It would disappear as
the cloud
moved over it from left to right. Then itsuddenly moved from left
to right and back again horizontally several times. Just before

Description of experience:: On August 23, 1999, at approx. 14:15
p.m. CST I
witnessed a silver-gray disk hovering over my residence. I was
sitting in my
office at my residence, using the Internet, and listening to my
police
scanners. The Christian County Sheriff's office dispatcher
started having
problems communicating with all of their patrol cars in the field.
(freq.
155.565 transmit and receive) I could hear a humming sound that
was effecting
the radio and I could hear the humming in my office. I thought
that we had
just had a power surge that effected the town of Ozark, MO, and
that is what
I was hearing. About five minutes had past and I was still
hearing the
humming and the dispatcher was getting frantic. She called
Radiophone
Engineering, Inc. ( the people who handle radio problems ). I was
very
interested about the humming so I finally walked outside my
residence.
Looking to the west, I saw nothing, the sky was mostly clear but
a bit
overcast. As I walked down my
front porch, I noticed a silver-gray disk object directly above
my residence
towards the southeast. It was approx. 100 yards long and 15 feet
high, it
was tilted at about
25 degrees towards the earth. I live next to the power
transformers for my
subdivision, and the disk just hovered approx. 250 feet above me
and the
power lines for at least twenty minutes. The humming sound
continued
constantly. The disk had a blue, then white, then red light
coming from the
bottom moving in a perfect circle. The sheriff's dispatcher was
still having
problems with her radio transmissions as I continued to hear on
my police
scanner. It then moved directly from the southeast to northwest
of my
location, along the Finley river that runs through the town and
disappeared
strait upward.
Special notes: Sheriff's radio cleared up after the disk left the
area.
Brake lights on two vehicles at Dennis Hanks Chevrolet dealership
where stuck
on ( two calls to the ozark police department as heard on the
scanner). Many
ozark citizens standing on main street right after the event
looking into the
sky. Five minutes of time was ADDED to my watch. Many jet
aircraft and
helicopters where heard and seen around ozark for approx. one
hour after the
event. Earthquake occurred at New Madrid fault line ( southeast
tip of
Missouri ) approx. four hours before this sighting.
Well, this is my first UFO report, I would never ever believed it,
until I
witnessed it for
myself!

Description of experience:: UFO type object sighting report -
Approx 1 Sep 1999, not 100% when as I didn't think much about it
at the time.
I was walking home from work at around 9:40 pm EST Melbourne
Australia time.
I was walking up Swanston Street toward the train station and an
unidentifed
object streaked across the sky. It was travelling easterly and
was like a large yellow ball of flame with a bright blue centre
and had a
yellow streak of light behind it. It was simply awesome and I
have never seen
anything like
it. No sound was emitted. I have seen falling stars before, but
nothing like
this.This thing was comparatively huge and had a much lower
trajectory.I just happend to mention it to a work colleague the
next day, and
amazingly he
saw the same object but at a totally different location about 20
miles away.
He claimed he also saw its shape after it had burned out its
flame.
This is the most bizzare observation of a UFO type object I have
ever seen

Description of experience:: On the morning of September 5, 1999 I
was
awakened at around 5 am by flashing lights outside my bedroom
window. I remember that I wasn't afraid even though it was the
most
fantastic thing I
had seen in my life. The craft was shaped like a shallow bell and
was very
shiny, glowing. There were red flashing lights intermixed with
white
flashing lights and in retrospect they were almost hypnotic. I do
not know how long I watched this object, but at least a few
minutes. I
awakened my
husband and told him that there was a UFO over our pasture. He
got up and
looked out the window and then went downstairs to get his
binoculars. I continued to watch the object. It moved vertically
and
horizontally in crisp movements. After a few minutes it began to
leave. On
what
appeared to be the underside of this craft was a shiny almost
holographic
center
and around it was a ring of green lights which were extremely
brilliant like
gems. The
green lights rotated in a clockwise fashion very quickly. The ufo
headed off toward the southeast and up. My husband witnessed this
object
with me.

Description of experience:: My wife & I had to take the dogs
out for a walk
at 9:30PM. We live out in the country here west of Austin,Texas.Upon
returning back towards the house we decided to walk them out in
the freshly
mowed lawn,in front of the house. As I turned back towards my
garrage I saw a
pair of dim lights in the sky, one in front of the other, going
from west to
east qiuckly. I yelled out look up there in the sky at that pair
of lights,
she soon saw them. The one light behind quickly caught up with
the other &
were side by side. After about half way across the sky they took
a quick
right turn towards the southern dirrection. Soon they disappeared
in the
Milky Way. We looked at each other waved towards the sky. My wife
said that
is OK long as they don't come down here & bother us. It took
me a minute or
so to get in the house. Soon as I got in I looked at the clock it
was 9:50PM..
